Gabriel Durliat

Review by Alain Lompech
Pianist Gabriel Durliat has just released a CD for La Scala Paris in homage to Fauré and counterpoint. He is a pianist, a transcriber and also a composer who dares to finish the last unfinished piece by Bach in his Art of the Fugue by also paying tribute to Fauré. I won't go on at length. Listen to his album on Qobuz and buy it. Durliat, 23, is a magnificent artist who has fallen from the sky at the end of 2024.
